Kathmandu. Two persons were killed when five vehicles were buried in a landslide at Jawang Khola of Benighat Rorang Village Municipality-10 on the Prithvi Highway. Six others have been injured in the incident.

The deceased have been identified as Birbal Praja, 18, of Rapti Municipality-6 and Soni Devi, 43, of Rapti Municipality-6.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, Soni died at the Gandaki Hospital in Pokhara this morning.

According to the District Police Office, Dhading, a magic van (Ba 12 Cha 7156), a container (Na 7 Kha 320), a truck (Ba 1 Ga 2831), a truck (Na 8 Kha 4540) and a truck (PN 28 AA 0120) were buried in the landslide.

Police have been mobilized to rescue the victims. A team of local government and road department has also been deployed in the search and rescue operation, police said.
