Kathmandu. Two people have been killed in Baglung and Syangja districts due to lightning strikes. One person has been injured in a lightning strike on Thursday night.

Khimlal Kandel, 45, of Tarakhola Gaonpalika-2 of Baglung has died. Similarly, Ishwori Lamichhane, 39, of Phedke on the left side of Fedikhola-5 in Syangja also died, Gandaki State Police Office Spokesperson (SSP) Mohan Pokharel told Ratopati.

Krishna Kumari Karki, 45, of Tarakhola Gaonpalika-3 in Baglung has been injured. Her condition is moderate.

Khilmala was killed by lightning while he was milking a buffalo in a cowshed. Ishwori, who was injured in the lightning strike, died while undergoing treatment at Gandaki Hospital, Pokhara.

One buffalo, one cow, and two goats have died due to lightning in Jaljala-8 Luprang of the mountain.
