Keshav Sthapit, a state assembly member from Bagmati, has also demanded Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to make necessary arrangements for licensing cannabis cultivation.
Speaking at a program organized by the National Youth Union near Oli faction in the capital on Saturday, he demanded exemption for cannabis cultivation.
He also claimed that if the people of the war-torn areas were to be given licenses to cultivate cannabis, they would leave Prachanda-Madhav with Nepal.
He claimed that if the government would open cannabis cultivation through an ordinance, the people would again give the majority to the KP Oli-led CPN (Maoist)
