Gold and silver traders don’t recognize fake gold

Lalitpur: Dhading’s Thakre village municipality ward no.11, Raj Sapkota (Sunar) age 34, of the Godavari in Lalitpur has been arrested.

He was arrested by a joint team from the Metropolitan Police Crime Branch and Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot. ‘A gold-like bracelet, a gold-like

chain and bills for the jewelry were also recovered from him”, the department said.

He had taken a gold-like bracelet with a will to a gold and silver jewelry shop at Thankot check post in Chandragiri Municipality-7 and fled after

swindling Rs 180,000 in cash. Similarly, it has been revealed that he has swindled Rs 280,000 in a gold and silver jewelry shop at 12 Gurjudhara in

Chandragiri Municipality.

Police said that the accused may have cheated other persons and businessmen as well.
