The Congress has stated that there will be protests and assemblies in every federal constituency. Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba will address the meeting to be held at Madhyapur Thimi in Bhaktapur. Similarly, senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel is scheduled to address the meeting to be held in Tanahu. General Secretary Dr. Shashank Koirala will address the demonstration in Nawalpur while former general secretary Prakash Man Singh will address the demonstration in Baneshwor, spokesperson Bishwaprakash Sharma in Koteshwor, central members Navindra Raj Joshi in Basantapur and Gagan Thapa in Nepalgunj. According to party spokesperson Sharma, rallies and demonstrations will be held at 15 places in Kathmandu today. After President Vidyadevi Bhandari dissolved the parliament on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, the Congress is also ideologically divided. Another party has accused President Sher Bahadur Deuba of being in favor of the election even though he had decided to protest for formality. Deuba has discussed this issue with General Secretary Shashank Koirala and other leaders close to him. Deuba’s party has concluded that the issue of reconstitution of the House of Representatives should not be raised as the issue of dissolution of the parliament is under consideration in the Supreme Court.
