The Election Commission has fixed the deposit amount to be kept by the candidate for the local level member election 2079. According to the commission, the local level chairperson, vice-chairperson, chief or deputy chief have to post a deposit of Rs 1,500.

Similarly, the ward chairperson has to deposit Rs 1,000 and the member has to deposit Rs 500.
