Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has given instructions to the ministers and secretaries of the government.

In the meeting held at Singh Darbar on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli made it clear that he would lead the government for 2 years and then the government under the leadership of the Congress, and basically instructed to prioritize 26 tasks.

Requiring the secretaries not to be afraid to make decisions, the Prime Minister gave a long instructional speech about the basic tasks to be done.

The main points of the instructions given by the Prime Minister

1. It is a sad situation that even senior citizens who cannot stand at the place to get services such as vehicles, passports, citizenship, national identity cards etc. have to stand in line. This is an incident in an office in Lalitpur. This kind of attitude that the people should be disappointed by the government should end. Employees are there to serve, not to govern, we should treat people gently and serve them. Service can be made practical and effective through citizen apps. Therefore, any citizen should be served easily without queuing. There should not be a tendency not to consider the poor and suffering as human beings. I would like to draw the attention of the relevant ministries and agencies.

2. Work with confidence. This government has come with the task of stability.

3. It is not appropriate to take allowances for meetings etc. as salaries are given to the ministries and agencies of the state. More than 20 percent of people in the country are below the absolute poverty line, the economic situation is not good. We are committed to serving the country and the people. If you have a tendency to not work all day and take allowance after five o’clock, don’t do it anymore.

4. Rather than new work, we should try to complete the work that has already been started. The main focus should be on completing the work.

5. We should go for a plan to save billions spent on fuel import. Attention should be paid to the development and use of hydropower.

6. Israel and Malaysia are making drinking water by treating sea water. Why don’t we brand Everest water? You should be able to pay attention to it.

7. Do not delay in anything. Increase coordination. Prompt response should be done. No matter how far the citizen has traveled to the government office, his work should be done without any hassle.

8. Do not create unnecessary committees and structures. Do it in such a way that the results of the work are visible.

9. We have to work with dedication for the country and the people. Work in such a way as not to pass the responsibility on to others.

10. Let’s go to the method of working completely by doing the performance and delegation of rights at the right time. Instead of relying on orders, do it yourself according to the law.

11. We are obliged to fulfill the goal of sustainable development. Ending poverty should be our main goal.

12. There are complexities in asset cleansing. There are situations where you have to show your source even when selling your own property. Such confusion and technical aspects should be managed.

13. There is a lack of budget to work, what is the reality? It has been observed that the regular budget will be spent but the development expenditure will be reduced. It is development that gives delivery to the people. So you have to spend enough capital. As soon as the client submits the application, the work should be started and the decision should be made quickly. The file cannot be stopped.

14. The situation of not getting payment of insurance payment, VAT refund, payment of farmers’ milk and sugarcane price is not good. They have taken loans and invested, they get upset when we don’t pay them on time. In this way, the modernization of agriculture cannot be reached.

15. There should not be a way for contractors to not get money for completed works. Disbursement of work done should not be stopped due to disagreement with whom or what.

16. Let us follow financial discipline. Let’s work together. Distribute the grant money systematically. Those who do business should be encouraged, but the amount of agricultural subsidy given to individuals has been misused, let’s monitor it.

17. Don’t get excited about increasing tax rates. The monetary policy has given good enthusiasm to the market, it should be kept working. The market should be driven.

18. Dharahara has been built and has not been operational due to lack of parking management. Even if parking is charged, it should be operated. The Nepalese people also gave crores of rupees in the campaign ‘I will make my Dharahara’. The people have participated in its reconstruction but the people could not climb the tower. I will instruct you how to make it operational quickly.

19. When reaching 100 days of the government’s tenure, as a general rule: Ministers should not criticize others. Do your work. Every ministry should give attractive reports that this work has been done within 100 days so that people think that they have done it.

20. There should not be a situation where priority projects cannot be completed by the end of the year.

21. We talk about Everest. Let’s start preparing for it.

22. Why was the national talent award that started by giving the money to the government and allocating more budget not regular? Be regular, we should encourage talent.

23. Air and vehicle accidents are happening. We should plant long-rooted plants on highway roads and design them in such a way that new constructions are safe. We have plans to run trains and ships. There is a public demand for railways. This will be our priority.

24. Public housing, integrated development programs should be linked with business. By taking the squatters of Kathmandu into isolation and making them houses, they cannot have access to the market. They did not work at home. After learning from that kind of work, we should now work in a practical manner.

25. A decision should be made within three months about the quarantine on whether or not to use pesticides on vegetables.

26. The private sector should be taken along. Complaints addressed from the business sector should be heard.
