Basic training has been provided to mediators in Palpa, Rampur Municipality. Mediators have been trained to mediate various disputes in the wards of the municipality.

The eight-day training organized by Rampur municipality with the slogan ‘Our problem is our solution: Reconciliation’ ended on Sunday. Reconciliation training has been given to the conciliators and people’s representatives who have been recommended from all 10 wards of the municipality. The conciliators were informed about the prevailing legal system related to reconciliation, the basic steps of the process of reconciliation, social justice, human rights, gender equality, social inclusion, women’s rights, etc.

On the occasion of the conclusion, Raman Bahadur Thapa, Mayor of Rampur Municipality, while distributing certificates to the mediators who participated in the training, asked all the citizens of the ward to reconcile by giving them a sense of justice. He said that every citizen should work in such a way that they feel that they will get justice. He also said that even if the opinions and beliefs are different, reconciliation and administration of justice should be done with honesty. He requested to make full use of the rights of the conciliator without going to the higher authorities to reconcile any case.

Bal Kumari Thapa, Deputy Chief of Rampur Municipality, said in the program that it is necessary to resolve every dispute through reconciliation with honesty. He has also requested to resolve disputes and issues in the villages within the jurisdiction of the conciliator. In the program, Chief Administrative Officer of Rampur Municipality, Surya Darshan Pandit said that justice should be administered fairly and a harmonious city should be made. Likewise, Kapil Bahadur Khan, spokesperson of Rampur Municipality and Ward Chairman of Ward No. 1, asked them to go to the village society and put what they have learned into practice as theoretical achievements have been obtained from the training. In the same way, Hari Prasad Pandit, the trainer of the training, requested to use the things learned in the training not only in the training, but also in personal and social life.

The 8-day training was held under the chairmanship of Bal Kumari Thapa, deputy head of Rampur municipality and coordinator of judicial committee, and was completed under the chief hospitality of city chief Raman Bahadur Thapa. Parvati Pariyar, Secretary of the Judiciary Committee, conducted the training completion program in the municipal hall. Advocates Dway Geeta Acharya and Hari Prasad Pandit facilitated the training in which 30 conciliators from the municipality participated.
