Lalitpur: On the way from Ratanchha to his home in Mabu, Phuyal, a member of the local Wakurtum forest, died on the spot.

Ward Chairman Phuyal died on the spot after falling about 300 meters, said Ratanchha Ward Chairman Unnat Rai.

Ward Chairman Rai informed that Phuyal, a member who has also been working for Dhamijhankri, fought on the way to

Mabu on Saturday evening.

Phuyal had won the local level election of 2074 BS as a ward member from the then CPN (Maoist Center).

The body has been brought to District Hospital, Diktel for autopsy, police said.

Pushpakala Bhujel, the vice-chairperson of Anselukharka village municipality, is mourning her father.

Bhujel’s 88-year-old father Bhakta Bahadur Bhujel passed away on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Bhakta Bahadur of Dimapatel, Ward No. 3, Anselukharka.

The body has been taken home for burial.
