Two bodyguards of medical practitioner Durga Prasai have been arrested with weapons from the Supreme Court premises.

SP Navraj Adhikari of District Police Complex Kathmandu informed that two persons who reached the Supreme Court on Monday afternoon were arrested.

Among those arrested are bodyguards Deepak Khadka and Ramkumar Dhimal.

The gun was found while they were entering the Supreme Court for hearing the case of Durga Prasai at 11:55 am.

A team including police inspector Vijay Bhandari at the main gate of the Supreme Court recovered the gun from them during the check.

An automatic weapon, two small magazines, two large magazines, a magazine holder, 100 rounds of bullets were also recovered inside a black bag written “Big Sweden”.

According to the police, the seized weapon was licensed by the District Administration Office, Jhapa.
