Another written agreement has been reached between the ruling parties including the CPN United Socialist Party.
Earlier on February 21, there was a written agreement between CPN-UML, CPN-Maoist Center, Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASP) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP).
That written agreement did not include the Madhav Kumar Nepal-led Unified Socialists. But on Tuesday, with the addition of the United Socialist Party, a 7-point agreement was signed between the five parties.
The point of forming a new government has been removed. But today’s written agreement only includes supporting the candidate of the Maoist Center for the Speaker of the National Assembly.
The 8-point agreement included support for the UML candidate for the position of vice-president of the National Assembly. That topic is not mentioned in the new agreement.
