Lalitpur: 275 Nepalis who arrived in Malaysia for employment have lost their lives in 2020.

According to the Nepali embassy in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, they lost their lives due to various reasons.

According to Pratik Karki, the embassy’s second secretary, most of the workers died of heart attacks.

He said he died of a heart attack while sleeping at night after eating dinner but not waking up in the morning.

Apart from that, Nepalis seem to be dying due to suicide after reaching Malaysia, getting into a car accident, quarreling with each other after consuming alcohol as well as eating, physical illness. It can be estimated that about four lakh Nepalis are currently working in Malaysia.
